I hasten to please you: there are, in Krasnaya Polyana, festivities and fun that are accessible to the general public.
What can you see for free?
If you are planning to go to Krasnaya Polyana with a child, then take note of the following event: December 30 at 11 am in the entertainment center "Galaktika" There will be a children's New Year's party. The children will enjoy a theatrical performance, a soap bubble show, and exciting competitions from Father Frost and the Snow Maiden.
And the next day, celebrations will take place at all the resorts of Krasnaya Polyana. At +960 m near the ski lift there will be an area with an interactive program. There will be snowball fights, tug-of-war competitions on sleds, cross-country skiing and much more.
There is also something to be surprised by on the territory of the Igloo-Hotel ethnopark (I talked about it in a previous article): here and there are Hantai totems carved from solid tree trunks. The residence of Father Frost will also be located here (well, yes, there is a residence at each resort :-) - also with a traditional northern flavor. For children - Magic Forest Park with icy wild animals and snowy forest monsters, tunnels and slides.
Where to buy a ticket in advance
Just like on previous New Year's holidays, concert hall "Rosa Hall" will not stand idle.
At first, December 29 and 30 the team of the Moscow State Kremlin Palace will perform there with ballet "The Nutcracker" . A favorite plot from childhood, incredibly beautiful costumes and magical special effects will create an atmosphere of magic and expectation of a miracle! The cost of tickets to the New Year's fairy tale is from 1,400 to 5,000 rubles.
The next day, January 3 , eight Snow Maidens from Turkish Soprano will appear on stage at once. A constellation of female voices, good old hits, and songs from favorite movies performed by them will cost from 1,500 to 25 thousand rubles.
Immediately after their performance, at 21:15, “Unprincipled Readings” will be held at Rose Hall. The most noisy literary and theatrical project in Moscow will present a program consisting of two independent sections. Viewers will hear stories from Alexander Tsypkin, the author of the best-selling book “Women of Unyielding Age,” Alexander Malenkov, editor-in-chief of Maxim magazine, and Russian Booker Prize winner Alexander Snegirev, performed by Katerina Shpitsa and Dmitry Chebotarev. The cultural New Year's program at Rosa Khutor will continue with a celebration of music, media and subcultures - LiveFest. In five days - from 4 to 8 January — within the framework of the festival, more than 40 artists of different musical genres will perform, there will be screenings of films and theatrical productions, talk shows and master classes.
The LiveFest holiday poster at Rosa Khutor will also feature solo concerts: singers Elka (January 5), “25/17” (January 6), Vladimir Presnyakov (January 7) and Elena Temnikova (January 8).
Well, paying tribute to the popular “music-battle” format, on January 7, an event will be held on the stage of the Rosa Khutor Ice Palace in which rap artists of different generations will compete with the leaders of the diverse pop scene.
Daily concerts of Russian pop stars will take place in "Sochi-Casino".
New Year's program at the mountain casino will last 13 days, starting from the first day of January until the Old New Year. Active, non-drinkers, nature lovers: routes through the snowy forest
I will assume that not all tourists who go on vacation to Polyana for the New Year holidays are eager to have unbridled fun. Some people come here precisely to take a break from all the “fun and hot options” that New Year’s holidays in any city cannot do without. And I even dare to say: there are quite a few people who go to Krasnaya Polyana precisely for the sake of relaxing in the lap of nature.
It is for them that the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve opens winter tourist routes . Tourists will be able to take a walk on snowshoes to the Narzan springs and take a ride on snowmobiles in the vicinity of Krasnaya Polyana.
Both walking and motorized routes are available. A guided walk through the snowy forest to the springs will take one hour, and snowmobile travel with an instructor will take from 30 minutes to 4 hours. Before skiing, all tourists undergo instructions. Special equipment is provided for the trip, and instructors accompany participants along the route.
In total, four routes are available in the Caucasus Nature Reserve this winter. The simplest one is “Training”. This is a circular route over 2.2 km long. A good option would also be to go to Narzan along the “Snowy Forest” route.
